One of Wellington’s original Arthouse cinemas, the Penthouse opened in 1939 as the Vogue Theatre. There have been many refurbishments and embellishments over the years, modernising and expanding while preserving the original art deco character of the cinema.
Within the Penthouse Cinema complex, the Vogue Suite is a luxurious 30-seater lounge cinema with elegant private foyer. It is available to hire for private functions and is used for intimate champagne evenings, Christmas staff functions, birthday parties, corporate presentations, fundraising screenings for schools, sports teams and non-profit organizations.
Catering is in-house and may be partially off-set against venue hire.
There are other larger cinemas and meeting spaces within the Penthouse. Enquire for availability and details.
