Hawke’s Bay, homestead venue

Punawaitai is an historic homestead in an enchanting valley on the coast of Hawke’s Bay, a dreamy location with native wood pigeons, tuis and bellbirds in the garden.

The Homestead can be hired during the day and early evening for a small wedding (or elopement!),  a charity event, exhibition or special lunch or dinner party.  Great also for corporate get-aways and strategic blue sky thinking days.  Wide brick steps lead from the house and under a rose arch to the oval lawn and gardens – a lovely bridal walk – with a backdrop of the Hawke’s Bay hills.

The living and dining rooms inside the homestead are available for your reception. Have an intimate, formal sit down dinner for 8 -12 in the dining room, seat 20 al fresco on the terrace or enjoy more casual buffet catering for up to 50 people flowing indoors and out.

Helicopter landing is available on a nearby paddock and there is an airstrip for small planes.
