Kiwi Art Gallery - Venue for hire
Availability
Wellington Central, gallery venue
The Kiwi Art Gallery lives in an old colonial house in Upper Cuba Street. Those familiar with Wellington in the 70s will know it previously as the eclectic shop of Mr Smiles, though it also functioned as a dyed calico shop and was owned for a time by local personality Carmen. It certainly has the early Wellington character, dating back to the 1890s.
Now the walls are lined with kiwi art and the space is available for private hire out of gallery hours. Come for a book club, social group, poetry reading, pre-theatre drinks and nibbles, art talk.
