Hastings, theatre venue
The Playhouse Theatre in Hastings is home to Theatre Hawkes Bay, but when a show is not on the stage may be available for hire.
This is a full, raised stage, with curtains, a backstage area and a side orchestra pit. The split tiered seating can be set up theatre style as pictured for 150 people, or cafe style for a more relaxed atmosphere, which will sit about 110.
The theatre is fully equipped technically with full sound amplification equipment, hand held and lapel microphones, an electronic mixing panel and up to 48 channels of lighting. We can offer technical support. Additional charges apply for equipment and technicians.
Hire of the Theatre includes the foyer area, Bronte Bar and kitchen. To hire just the foyer and bar area, see the Bronte Bar at Hastings Playhouse.
