Hawkes Bay: Riverside field venue

Take your wedding off the grid and step into nature in this utterly charming venue on the banks of the Tuki Tuki river in Hawke’s Bay. Just 15 minutes from Napier and Hastings, totally private, overlooked only by the majestic Te Mata peak.

Take your vows in a magical riverside clearing and wander upstream through the tall trees to the large marquee site for your celebration. Power, water, lighting, marquees, kitchens, luxury loos and seating are all brought in. Together with the creatives at Black Barn you can decorate the venue with everything from fairly lights, large fluttering flags and spectacular lighting in the trees.

This is rural New Zealand, so while the site is flat for easy walking and there are mown paths through the grass, the river flows by unfenced and there is long grass in the field and birds in the trees.

The space works well for a wedding party of 50 to 200 plus.  There is plenty of onsite parking, and help with a back up plan for wet weather – not often needed in a Hawke’s Bay summer.
