Havelock North, Hawkes Bay: wine cellar

Totally romantic and unworldly, the Underground Cellar at Black Barn is a unique venue where imagination trips up the dust on the floor to create something wonderful.  It is an ethereal setting for a wedding, a themed party, photography, wine tasting or a wicked underground gathering with nefarious intent.

Outside the heavy wooden doors is the pretty circular growers’ market, bistro and other spaces around Black Barn which can be added for a contrasting mood to the Cellar experience.

The Cellar, hired separately, can be catered with simple Black Barn wine service and pass around canapés.

Other Black Barn venues include Black Barn Offsite and the River Room.
