Miramar Wellington, event venue

The Grand Lobby at The Roxy Cinema in Wellington is a gloriously ostentatious Art Deco meeting space with chandeliers, grand wooden arches, plush furnishing and a spectacular sci-fi painted ceiling.  There’s even a reclining futuristic statute, in a high alcove. The large mirror swaps for a screen if required.

The Grand Lobby is on the first floor – entrance is through the downstairs lobby, or a private entrance from the street. There is a lift.  It is available for hire for a conference, team meeting, event or function.

There is a podium and a hand held mike, additional AV equipment is available. You could add a film screening to your event.

The Grand Lobby has seen red carpet events, fashion shows, weddings, cocktail parties, burlesque shows and creative events. If you’re after a venue with irresistible swank, here it is.

There is a fully stocked bar and catering is in-house, provided by the award-winning CoCo restaurant downstairs.

Located just 5 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes from downtown Wellington, Miramar is a lively suburb and the very centre of the film making capital of NZ.

Price is for hire between 9am and 5pm weekdays and includes bar staff.  Enquire for hire outside of these times.
