Hastings, Hawke’s Bay, home & garden venue.
The Pavilion is a modern structure designed by acclaimed architect Pete Bossley, secluded on a 2.2 hectare property with generous lawns, gardens, trees, vines and informal plantings. The space is open and inviting, a private get-away or retreat for a business get-together or evening party, 5 minutes along the Karamu Stream to Havelock North Village.
The Pavilion, a long building reminiscent of a New Zealand beach cottage, has a catering area, open living room leading onto the deck and one generous bedroom, all facing a private, sunny lawn. Add a gazebo for additional covered space.
For a larger meeting space, see John’s House on the same property.

Hastings, paired with Napier as the twin cities of the region, has not only a vibrant city, but the very varied surrounding hinterland of Hawke’s Bay. From traditional and modern vineyards to the coast and the hills, Hastings has venues for business and leisure, weddings and parties.
Known for food and wine, Hastings does entertainment well and stages a wide range of events. With it’s settled and glorious weather this is the destination for outdoor events for a larger part of the year.
It only rains for about 2 months – unfortunately no one knows which two months. But for an outdoor event, Hastings is a very good bet.
