Hastings Hawke’s Bay, bar venue
Here you have a quirky, boho wine bar with great personality and an immediate feeling of love and friendship, a testament to the buoyant conversations and eclectic music that livens the joint in the evenings. As well as the main bar with performance stage, there are several intimate spaces with armchairs and sofas for relaxation or spirited engagement, including the garden bar with fire pit and infrared heaters for all seasons.
Tables/chairs can be arranged throughout, meeting style, if you’re aiming for collective creativity.
The Common Room is right in the middle of Hastings’ up and coming Eastend. Bring your people, performers, party and make yourselves at home.
You must buy all beverages from the bar and may order catering, alternatively you are welcome to bring in catering, ask us for suggestions. Catering and bar tabs may be partly offset against your hire charge.
Book the whole bar any day from Sunday through until Wednesday. There are no bookings from Thursday – Saturday as these nights are open to the public. We can possibly close off a small area for a private function – enquire for details.

Hastings, paired with Napier as the twin cities of the region, has not only a vibrant city, but the very varied surrounding hinterland of Hawke’s Bay. From traditional and modern vineyards to the coast and the hills, Hastings has venues for business and leisure, weddings and parties.
Known for food and wine, Hastings does entertainment well and stages a wide range of events. With it’s settled and glorious weather this is the destination for outdoor events for a larger part of the year.
It only rains for about 2 months – unfortunately no one knows which two months. But for an outdoor event, Hastings is a very good bet.
