Hastings Hawke’s Bay, gallery venue
Located in Hastings’ first water and electrical power supply factory, this landmark 1912 building has been recently restored and is now home to Parlour Projects, a contemporary art gallery.
The eight metre stud, pristine white walls, concrete floors and exposed beams are reminiscent of an industrial New York gallery. Parlour has three bathrooms, and is connected to the popular Opera Kitchen cafe in central Hastings.
Catering can be provided by the popular Opera Kitchen next door – with anything from casual, delicious platters for a party to a full sit down dinner.
Available for lunch meetings, conferences, dinners, birthday and engagement parties, workshops, plays, film screenings and small concerts.
Bring your music, bring your friends, and use this space to frame your event.

Hastings, paired with Napier as the twin cities of the region, has not only a vibrant city, but the very varied surrounding hinterland of Hawke’s Bay. From traditional and modern vineyards to the coast and the hills, Hastings has venues for business and leisure, weddings and parties.
Known for food and wine, Hastings does entertainment well and stages a wide range of events. With it’s settled and glorious weather this is the destination for outdoor events for a larger part of the year.
It only rains for about 2 months – unfortunately no one knows which two months. But for an outdoor event, Hastings is a very good bet.
